The SD41 Democrats have several different kinds of
meetings. All of them are open to the public.
The principal business meeting is the monthly
Central Committee (CC) meeting, which is generally held on the second
Tuesday of the month at the Edina
Community Center. Occasionally these meetings will include a speaker.
Decisions are made by the officers, directors, and precinct chairs, who constitute
the CC, but anyone is welcome to attend.
In addition, from time to time meetings of the
Executive Committee (EC) are held, usually on short notice, when some
matter must be dealt with immediately. These are primarily for officers
and directors, who constitute the EC.
A variety of informal social gatherings and educational meetings take place
during the year.
Among the most popular are the monthly "Links"
meetings. These usually feature a speaker on a topic of current interest.
They are also a great way to meet other Democrats and to catch up on local
political goings-on.
All meetings of the SD41 Democrats are posted on our
calendar, which includes
information concerning the program, time, and location.
