If you tried to contribute thru this website in the past few weeks, please read this....

For several weeks before June 24, our connection with PayPal was not working!  The effect of this was that if you tried to contribute to us thru this website during that time, the amount was subtracted from your bank or credit card account, but it didn't get to us.  PayPal holds amounts like this for 60 days, and then returns the amount back to your account. 

We can't find out who has contributions that are stuck in this limbo!  If you've got a contribution that is stuck in this limbo, you'll get the money back (after 60 days) even if you do nothing, but you can cancel your donation in your PayPal account to fix the situation sooner than that.

Here's how you can check on and fix this situation:
  * open your PayPal account, and find your contribution
       item;
  * if the transaction date of your intended contribution was before 6/24/2009, click the option to cancel it; this will return the funds to your account.

With this, you won't have made a contribution to SD41 Democrats;  though the Political Contribution Refund program is no longer available, but we hope you'll re-do your contribution anyway to help us prepare for the 2010 elections.
