Don’t forget about Minnesota’s Political Campaign Refund Program!

This is the best deal in town! You can help us significantly—at a cost to you of only a 42-cent postage stamp.

Minnesota’s Political Campaign Refund Program is designed to encourage individuals who are eligible to vote in our state to support candidates and political parties financially. It’s a wonderful idea.

Here’s how it works. You can give up to $50 per person ($100 for a married couple) and receive a full refund from the State of Minnesota. Once we receive your contribution—either online or through the mail--our Treasurer will send you a receipt and a short form that you then mail to the State. (This is where your 42-cent stamp comes in.) In approximately 6-8 weeks, the State will send you a full refund of up to $50/person or $100/married couple.

Eligible Minnesotans may file one form for each calendar year. To be eligible for the refund, you must be a registered voter in Minnesota. Or, if you are not a registered voter, you must be a U.S. citizen, must be 18 or older, and must have lived in Minnesota at least 20 days immediately prior to the upcoming statewide or local election in which you would be eligible to vote if you were registered.

You can certainly contribute amounts over $50 (individual) or $100 (married couple) to Senate District 41 Democrats per year. However, amounts over these limits do not qualify for refunds under the Minnesota Political Refund Program and are not tax deductible.

Like we said, it’s the best deal in town!
